Some of our cakes have been produced for celebrities including; Brian Turner, Annie Lennox, Aga Khan and Sultan of Brunei. Jays Clever Cakes have worked with Michellin Star Chefs including Michael Caines and have worked for Gary Rhodes.

All cakes come boxed and safe for further transportation.

All cakes will be delivered on your chosen delivery date and we will endeavour to meet a time deadline. We can deliver to neighbours if you are out, please specify your neighbours complete address and name.

Delivery is free within a 2 mile radius- outside this radius a delivery fee may occur.

Jays Clever Cakes are able to deliver

• Richmond/Mortlake
• Kingston/Teddington /Strawberry Hill
• Twickenham/Whitton/Isleworth/Hounslow, and all surrounding areas.

Orders

• We require 5 working days notice on all novelty/celebration cakes. Six weeks for wedding cakes. Last minute cakes can be made on occasions.
• On wedding cakes a 50% deposit is required on booking, and the balance is required 2 weeks prior to collection/delivery.
• On all other cakes a 50% deposit is required on booking, and the balance payable on collection/delivery.
• Please check your order thoroughly before payment. For bespoke cakes, our decorators can only create the finished article from what they interpret from the wording of your order.
• It is not possible to create exact specifications when modelling food, just a graphical representation.
• If an inscription, colour or any other choice is left unselected on your order form, then we reserve the right to use our own professional discretion.

Wedding Cakes

• You will always be given an email order confirmation. Please check it and notify us if anything is not correct
Jays Clever Cakes can arrange hire of cake stands/knives etc with a relevant deposit.

Sales Policy

• Most novelty cakes above 10" feed approx 35 people. We do not offer exact dimensions as each cake is hand crafted in free hand. Our cakes look big and carry great impact.
• All cakes are made of vanilla sponge and buttercream unless stated otherwise. Chocolate novelty cakes are £4.50 extra and fruitcake is £15 per cake.
• We can make novelty cakes 50% bigger at 50% extra charge.
• Sponge and Chocolate cakes do not contain nuts as an ingredient, but nut traces may be present. Our fruitcake does contain nuts and Alcohol.
• Our cakes are made from dairy products and contain vegetable fats.

Sugar Models and Flowers

• Hand made sugar models and flowers to accompany your cake can be made at an extra cost. All prices will be quoted individually, due to the nature of the work involved.

Cake Storage and Shelf Life

• All cakes should be stored in a cool dark place on a flat sturdy surface.
• Never put cakes in the fridge other than fresh dairy cream cakes.
• Sponge, Chocolate and Carrot cake will keep for one week after delivery.
• Fruitcake will last for months, not years.
